In the Spring, you should thoroughly check your system to make sure that it’s ready for the up-coming hotter weather and to ensure that nothing has broken whilst it’s not been in use. You may think that because you haven’t used it, it won’t need a service, but it definitely will! A lot can happen to a machine whilst it’s off for a long period of time.
If you use your air conditioning throughout the year and on a bigger scale (say, in larger public areas where a lot of people will be coming into contact with it), then we’d recommend doing regular small checks of your systems with a more thorough service at least twice a year.

If you’re able to do your own little maintenance jobs throughout the rest of the year then it definitely won’t hurt, too! It doesn’t have to be anything major; check for rust or corrosion, test the airflow is as strong as usual, clean or change the filter and remove any grime, dust and dirt that’s on your machine. Simple!
