Airbourne Mould Spores
Unfortunately, mould spores in the air are invisible, and while we tend to tackle the visible colonies of mould stains, we are unaware of mould in areas that seem clean.
The Harmful Effect of Mould
Mould spores that travel through air can be inhaled and can cause a myriad of symptoms, such as stuffy noses, wheezing, shortness of breath, skin or eye irritation, headaches, rash, myalgia, fatigue, and even flu-like illness and fever. People with weak immune systems or respiratory diseases may fail to recover and suffer from chronic pulmonary infection.
Airborne Artillery
Against the Silent Killer - TADIRAN AIROW 3 is a H202 air purification device for wall-mounted (ductless mini-split) air conditioners, is also compatible to fan coils, ceiling cassettes and CRF ductless split systems. It is a unique add-on device that is designed for easy installation. It is also a Zero Ozone Verified device, requires no maintenance, and consumes minimal energy.
99.4% Reduction of Airborne Mould Spores
TADIRAN conducted an experiment to test the effectivesness of TADIRAN AIROW 3 in reducing mould in the air. Specifically, we tested the impact of our system on Penicillium, a common type of mould 2.
The test was conducted at a 25 square meter chamber at the Kitasato Research Center for Environmental Science in Japan. It started with a mould count of 52,000 CFU per 20 litre in the air. Within two hours of running the system, TADIRAN AIROW 3 decreased the count to 4000 CFU per 20 litre, and within three hours, achieved a total reduction of 99.4%.
During the first hour of operation, we observed an 80% drop in the mould count. The reduction continued as the device operated. It's important to note that a dirty environment is typically considered to have a mould count of around 10,000 CFU per 20 litre.
Mould counts above 10,000 CFU per 20 litre are considered dangerous, with the level of danger varying depending on the individual and what they are breathing. Therefore, consistent treatment is necessary.
Overall, our experiment showed that our air purification system that releases H202 was highly effective in reducing mould in the air.
